“A drug abuse issue can take over your life and adversely impact your job, family and future. Check into a detox center such as Harbor Village and get rid of this terrible addiction as soon as you can,” said Robert Niznik, Harbor Village CEO.

In an article by The Guardian (8/19) titled, Drug Addiction Not a Criminal Issue, Says Chief Medical Officer, England's chief medical officer said drug addiction is usually seen as a criminal problem, but it actually is a health issue. In addition, Professor Dame Sally Davies also made the shocking revelation to BBC Radio 3's Private Passions that she consumed cookies laced with marijuana at university.

Drug abuse often starts with an "Ok, I'll try it just once," moment, which then escalates to a life threatening problem. Only a certified, 24/7 medically supervised detox center such as Harbor Village is qualified to assist clients who are suffering from prescription drug issues. Anyone who is experiencing a problem with prescription drugs should check into this state-of-the-art facility.

At Harbor Village, a trained team of medical professionals helps clients achieve recovery from both alcohol and drugs addiction. Located in South Florida, each client experiences private drug rehab in a luxury environment featuring upscale accommodations including a beautifully furnished suite with satellite television, over an acre of outdoor lounge area, spa, salon, massage and acupuncture services, nutritious, gourmet dining and the personalized support of a caring, attentive staff who is with each client every step of the recovery process.

According to A call for more opioid dependence treatment, Davies said of her university days in the 1970s: "I never smoked so I couldn't smoke joints but I did have some cookies, until on the third or fourth occasion I had hallucinations and I've never touched it since.”

"And I think I understood through that what my father said to me when I told him I was going to try it. He said: Drugs decivilize you. You stop being a civilized person. And I understood why so many people were against even the soft drugs. So, like the fact I do enjoy wine, I'm open about my past."

She added: "Of course it's a medical problem, I mean addiction is a medical problem, and it becomes a public health problem and then our society is choosing to treat that as a criminal justice issue."

“A drug abuse issue can take over your life and adversely impact your job, family and future. Check into a detox center such as Harbor Village and get rid of this terrible addiction as soon as you can,” said Robert Niznik, Harbor Village CEO.
