Endorsing some of the top acts in Electronic Dance Music (EDM), promoters Robert Kechter & Next Music Group have brought dance phenomenon (We Are) Nexus into the EDM foray with the release of their debut single “It Feels So Good.”
Promoting many of today's mainstream music acts and featuring one of the most extensive DJ pools in the music industry, Next Music Group is on the forefront of the popular music scene. Working with such Billboard charting artists such as Christina Aguilera, Pitbull, and Emeli Sande, Next Music Group has made a distinct imprint on the music industry.
Launched in 2009 by partners Robert Kechter, Ray Chatters, and Steve Cunningham, Next Music Group found fast success. Working with major labels like Capitol, Ultra, Columbia, and Interscope, Next Music has since become the backbone for many of today's top artists.
Being a fan of music and avid musician since his childhood, Next Music Group CEO Robert Kechter started off his musical career as a DJ in the early '90s. Working alongside friend and future business partner DJ Ray Chatters, Kechter learned to love the trade of DJing. Prior to founding Next, Kechter was the general manager for one of Hollywood's hottest clubs, Rage, in West Hollywood, for nearly eight years. Today, Kechter is still in the booth as well as managing the behemoth that is Next Music Group.
Next Music Group has played an integral part in the growth of (We Are) Nexus. They handpicked (Kechter and Next To) and A&R'ed the remixes for their debut single, a cover of Sonique's Trance hit “It Feels So Good,” all selected from their massive pool of talent. Spanning multiple EDM genres, Next Music Group's remixers have every corner of the Dance Music world covered. Next Music Group has provided tremendous promotional resources to (We Are) Nexus as well, handling all Billboard and club promotions of “It Feel So Good” and securing radio promotions with New York DJ Mike Rizzo.
Starting with the simple idea of creating a DJ pool for DJ's, by DJ's, Next Music Group has since grown into an EDM DJ and pop star powerhouse. Featuring the likes of top pop artists such as Pitbull and Christina Aguilera and EDM stars like Nicky Romero, Avicii, and Deadmau5, Next Music Group is a driving force in promoting today's top acts, including securing Billboard Chart Placement for Icona Pop "I Love It" and Carly Rae Jepsen "Tonight I'm Getting Over You" both which had Next Remixers on the projects. With a phenomenal future ahead of them, Next Music Group can look forward to breaking the next generation of top acts.
