SEGA's First Motion Controlled iPad Game "Go Dance" to Incorporate Unique Motion Tech from Extreme Reality
Herzelia, Israel (PRWEB) August 27, 2013 -- Extreme Reality, the only company to bring full-body motion analysis and control via a device’s native or peripheral camera, announced that its Extreme Motion technology is powering SEGA’s first full-body motion controlled iPad game, GO DANCE™.
Using an iPad’s native camera, Extreme Reality provides the only technology that recognizes a player’s full body movement and transforms it to 3D motion within a game or application by real-time analysis of the three dimensions (X,Y,Z) of the body’s joint movement. Extreme Motion can read movements in virtually any environment—from the dim light emitted from a laptop in a dark room to outdoor daylight.
“For the first time ever, the millions of iPad owners around the world can now enjoy the fully immersive experience of motion controlled gaming with nothing more than the device they already own and no additional hardware,” said Sarit Firon, CEO of Extreme Reality. “The integration of Extreme Reality’s technology by a gaming powerhouse such as SEGA demonstrates that this innovative new approach to motion control has the potential to drastically change the gaming industry.”
