AED.com Presents 3 Phases of Emergency Planning for Cardiac Arrest
Brentwood, TN (PRWEB) August 28, 2013 -- AED.com is pleased to announce the release of a new infographic, which lays out each step necessary to prepare for and react to incidents of sudden cardiac arrest. The infographic entitled, "How to Save a Life: Develop Your Own Facility Emergency Response Plan", is geared for current and potential owners of AEDs particularly those who manage their use in public settings.
The infographic guides readers through the three major stages of emergency planning: pre-emergency, during emergency, and post-emergency. The pre-emergency phase includes selecting the right automated external defibrillator model, learning about and following all state and federal AED legislation, installing the AED in a visible location, and designating one or more individuals to serve as a point person during emergencies.
During a cardiac arrest emergency, following the Chain of Survival which includes 911 notification, early CPR, and early defibrillation are key. Finally, following a cardiac arrest emergency, ordering replacement pads and batteries, notifying medical oversight, and evaluating response during the emergency are necessary.
These numerous steps are presented in any easy to understand manner in AED.com's new infographic. Justin Darby, Director of Marketing for AED.com states, "We created this infographic with our customer's concerns and questions in mind. This will be an especially useful tool for potential AED purchasers who want to quickly learn more about ownership and creating a rescue plan." The infographic is available for download on AED.com.
