Embassy Suites Atlanta - Galleria Continues Their New Holiday Tradition
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) August 29, 2013 -- Galleria will continue their annual holiday tradition, the Cobb Galleria Festival of Trees, that honors the giving spirit of the season. From November 18, 2013 through January 5, 2014, 37 local non-profit organizations will participate in the hotel’s Fourth Annual Festival of Trees, a charitable event sponsored by the hotel and other Atlanta-area businesses.
“I can’t think of a more wonderful way to celebrate the holiday season than providing a way to support these organizations at this special time of year,” said Dale Gustafson, Director of Sales and Marketing. “It’s also a great opportunity to invite the public to see the many improvements that have been made to the Embassy Suites Atlanta - Galleria.”
Each non-profit organization will decorate a Christmas tree – many donated by select partner businesses that will be on display 24/7 in the hotel’s atrium for seven weeks – and Atlanta residents and hotel guests are invited to give donations on behalf of the participating charities’ trees. There is no charge to visit the display, and parking is free. The tree with the largest monetary donations will receive an additional $1,000 gift from the Embassy Suites Atlanta - Galleria. There are currently 20 organizations signed up for the 2013 event, including:
- March of Dimes
- Make a Wish Foundation of GA
- Cobb Library Foundation
- Blessed Beautiful Feet/ Ashley Averill Foundation
- Atlanta Ballet Centre for Dance Education
- Healing Hearts
- Kidz 2 Leaders
- Ronald McDonald House
- The Children's Bilingual Theater
- ArtsBridge Foundation
- Humane Society of Cobb County
- Cobb Works
- Feed the Hungry/Action Ministries
- Homeless Pets Foundation
- Camp Juliette Low
- Communities in Schools of Marietta/Cobb County, Inc.
- The Center for Family Resources, Inc.
- Embraced
- The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society
- Two are Better than One
On the third Tuesday of December, the hotel’s nightly Reception* will transform into a Private Gala for the charitable organizations. Local choirs, musicians, and performing arts organizations will provide entertainment and fine foods and holiday spirits will be served to hotel guests and the members of the participating charities and local businesses. A legendary local luminary will be on hand to award the recipients the donations collected as well as the $1,000 grand prize.
The trees will be on display for donations from November 18, 2013 through January 5, 2014. For more information visit the Festival of Trees website or contact Dale Gustafson at 678-460-2561.
