Social Media Program Called “Flourish” Promises to Fulfill Dreams of University and College Students and Businesses
Toronto, Ontario (PRWEB) August 28, 2013 -- One Million Acts of Innovation™ announces their one-of-a-kind social media program named “Flourish.” Flourish is a social media boot camp that trains university and college students on advanced social media programs.
Trained students are granted to companies in Canada in the hopes of adding new customers and penetrating markets through the use of social media.
One Million Acts of Innovation has been working since 2010 to perfect Flourish in its pilot stage. The program has been tested by more than 77 students who have successfully used their skills in businesses across Ontario.
An example of student success is the group from the University of Ontario Institute of Technology, who used their social media skills to help strengthen a local “Coffee Culture.” The students effectively increased the business’ Facebook presence and popularity. The students helped the company learn how easy it was to reach new online markets using Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin. With its provincial success, Flourish is now ready for a national launch and is actively looking for students and businesses to join the project.

It does this through “Ideation, Access and Funding with existing innovation groups, academia, governments and businesses.” The goal of Flourish is to improve the National Employment Rate by introducing Canadian youth into companies and apply social media techniques that will increase revenue. The end hope is to both grow small and medium sized businesses and introduce students into the Canadian job market.
