Old Salt Press is committed to publishing high quality writing, professionally produced, with a nautical focus. Rick Spilman, founding partner, says, "Our interests are as broad as the sea itself, including both fiction and non-fiction -- from classic tales of the Georgian navy to accounts of windjammers in the late 19th century, from action to history to romance. We invite you to join us as we go down to the sea in books."

Since its founding in May of this year, Old Salt Press, LLC (http://oldsaltpress.com) has published Joan Druett's “Promise of Gold Trilogy;” her novel, “A Love of Adventure”; her Wiki Coffin mystery, “The Beckoning Ice;” and her non-fiction account of castaways at the bottom of the world, “The Elephant Voyage.” Old Salt Press has also recently released Alaric Bond's, “Turn a Blind Eye,” a novel of the maritime revenue service fighting smugglers during the Napoleonic Wars; as well as a new edition of V.E. Ulett's nautical romance, “Captain Blackwell's Prize,” and Rick Spilman's nautical thriller, "Hell Around the Horn."

Joan Druett is an award winning maritime historian and novelist. The author of more than 20 books including the bestseller "Island of the Lost," she is an expert on whaling history and women at sea. Alaric Bond has written professionally for over twenty years with work covering broadcast comedy, periodicals, children's stories, television and the stage, and is the author of five books in the "Fighting Sail" series. Rick Spilman is founder and host of the Old Salt Blog (http://www.oldsaltblog.com). His first novel, "Hell Around the Horn," was inspired by the voyage of a British windjammer around Cape Horn in the particularly brutal winter of 1905. V.E. Ulett is a member of the National Books Critics Circle and an active member and reviewer for the Historical Novel Society. Eighteenth and nineteenth century journals and letters inspired her novel, "Captain Blackwell's Prize."

All Old Salt Press books are available in print, and popular ebook formats, with "Captain Blackwell's Prize" also available as an audio book. Old Salt Press, LLC is based in Jersey City, NJ with an affiliate in New Zealand.
