The Social Media, Social Media for Restaurants, Facebook, and Blogging Fall Seminar Series focuses on how businesses can effectively use Social Media for Business. Every 2nd and 4th Wednesday this fall, starting September 25, 2013.

It’s important to recognize how social media fits into an overall marketing strategy and its role in lead generation and sales, as well as how it helps businesses be more findable online.

Social Media continues to become a major component in developing an overall marketing strategy. Businesses continue to look for ways to effectively use social media. Social Media is pretty easy to use, and it certainly is very popular. But using it effectively can be a challenge for many businesses.

Changescape Web is offering the Fall Social Media Series. The series is comprised of 4 different seminars: Social Media for Business, Facebook Marketing, Social Media for Restaurants, and Blogging.

Social Media for Business focuses on Which Social Media channels should a business use; How to integrate Social Media into your website, print, email, and other marketing; Social Media Management - how, when and where to post; and How to create a Social Media Strategy

Facebook Marketing provides an in depth review of Facebook Business Pages and its features, using custom Facebook Applications, Facebook ads and promotions, integrating Facebook into your website, and how to develop a Facebook Marketing Strategy.

Social Media for Restaurants zeros in on which social media features restaurants can use to help promote and grow their businesses. It also includes location based social media sites and strategies.

Blogging is most likely the single most important thing businesses can do to be more findable online. Blogs are great for search engine optimization. Companies that blog have 97% more inbound links and 55% more website visitors. Yet many businesses are not harnessing the power of blogging.

The Fall Social Media Seminar Series sessions will be held at the Greater St. Charles County Chamber of Commerce, 2201 1st Capitol Dr St Charles, MO 63301-5805. All classes will run from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m unless specified.

Social Media for Restaurants – October 23 (9 a.m. to 10:30 a. m.)
Blogging for Business – November 13

Ken Tucker is an Adjunct Professor at the St. Charles Community College (SCC). He teaches Social Media Marketing (CPM-230-80/BUS-272-90) and Content Management Systems (CPM-260-40), both three hour college credit classes taught each Fall and Spring Semester.
