Appconomy’s Jinjin Loyalty App Wins 1st Prize in Prestigious China Mobile App Competition
Shanghai, China and Austin, Texas, USA (PRWEB) August 28, 2013 -- Appconomy, Inc. today announced that its Jinjin Marketplace loyalty app was awarded 1st Prize in the China Mobile App Competition, produced by The Chinese Institute of Electronics. The Institute is affiliated with the People’s Republic of China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), which is the authority for all internet-related matters. The Competition, which began in January, involved several thousand mobile apps in China competing in three major categories – mobile applications, mobile games, and micro-work – through three rounds of qualification. The third and final round, involving live presentations by more than 100 app developers, was held this past weekend in Beijing.
“Appconomy is honored and humbled to receive this important recognition from The Chinese Institute of Electronics for our Jinjin Marketplace app,” said Brian Magierski, President and co-CEO of Appconomy. “We are especially thrilled for Appconomy’s design, development, and testing teams, whose hard work and dedication towards the challenging task of creating a game-changing mobile app for the Chinese market is further validated with this prestigious award.”
The Jinjin Marketplace app makes it easy, fun and rewarding for smartphone users to manage loyalty programs and promotions for all of their favorite restaurants, bars, and other retailers, as well as discover new ones… all in one app. For merchants, it helps them develop deeper relationships with their customers, rewarding them for increased frequency of visits and providing valuable incentives to try new products or increase their purchases per visit. The Jinjin Marketplace was built with Appconomy’s mobile marketing and commerce platform.
“On behalf of Appconomy’s board, investors, and key partners, we are grateful for the recognition from The Chinese Institute of Electronics for the Jinjin Marketplace as one of the top mobile apps in China,” said Steve Papermaster, Chairman and co-CEO of Appconomy. “It is a strong endorsement of Appconomy’s ‘China-first’ go-to-market approach, launching ground-breaking mobile apps for retail in the world’s second largest and consistently fastest-growing economy. We look forward to continuing to set the standard for innovation in retail, with the Appconomy mobile commerce platform, indoor location-sensing apps, and other revolutionary technologies.”
The Chinese Institute of Electronics was established in 1962 and has more than 100,000 members. Appconomy’s Jinjin Marketplace app was the only American-affiliated app among the top ten 1st Prize recipients. The combined user base of the other four of the top five prizewinners exceeds 300 million users in China.
