Massachusetts-Based Consultancy to Provide Targeted Solutions for IBM iSeries Users

Precision Solutions Group, Inc. (PSGi), a global consultancy and support service leader for IBM i-powered companies, is celebrating its 10 year anniversary by introducing a four-tiered menu of managed service offerings. PSGi has honed the delivery of these services among select clients. The new, managed service options will benefit a broad cross-section of companies that employ iSeries-based business applications.

Collectively, PSGi’s new service options will encompass account management, installation, and implementation, along with comprehensive system administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Select service offerings will also provide change management and application administration solutions. In addition to presenting multiple flat-rate service models, the tiered system will help customers select the program that best meets their needs and delivers the most value.

Since 2003, PSGi delivers an ever-expanding portfolio of customer support and professional services, all focused on minimizing downtime and ensuring clients get the most from their systems and applications. Founded to support clients using Infor PRISM ERP, the firm has since added Oracle JDE World and Infor PRMS to its service and support offerings. According to Keith Schwebel, Motorsport’s VP and CFO, “The team at PSGi had the responsibility to ensure all of our business applications were compatible with V7R1, and if necessary, upgrade those business applications to the proper release. They had to interface with the vendors and upgrade a number of applications while working with our team to make sure there was no interruption in service. To make matters a little more challenging, we did not have a test iSeries, and needed to perform the overall upgrade properly the first time without any hiccups. The PSGi team worked effectively and efficiently and made our experience seem like a non-event. Just as it should be.”
