Salem, OR (PRWEB) August 29, 2013
The new 32-bed, 15,766-square foot personal care facility is located on a 0.81-acre parcel adjacent to Sweet ByenBye's existing 16-bed facility which will be converted to a memory care center that treats and provides assisted living for Alzheimers and dementia residents. The State of Oregon has approved the relocation of beds from the existing facility to the new residential care facility.
The new project had a distinctive focus placed on the pre-construction process, which Star Builders has enhanced with a new set of criteria.
"By focusing on the pre-construction phase of the project with more due diligence than is usually required, we have taken our planning process to a new level, which passes through to the customer," says Jason Robertson, contractor and owner of Star Builders. "It is our due diligence and proactive planning that results in a successful project completion. Our solutions-based approach to pre-construction planning goes beyond the cost and scheduling. We evaluated, asked questions, and anticipated in advance any possible construction issues that may affect the Sweet ByeNBye project. As a result, the project will be on time and on budget."
To ensure the successful completion of the project, Star Builders procured competent subcontractors whom they have had good results with and who have senior living construction as their specialty. For the conceptual planning of the project worked closely with the architect and engineer consultants to make sure that everyone is on the same page during the construction period. Star Builders also made sure that they are in compliance with all requirements of the City of Salem Planning Department including knowing the various phases of the project to keep on schedule and reach the milestones that need to be kept.
