The Ignition Project Unites High-Potential Entrepreneurs With Angel Investors to Fuel Startup Success
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) August 28, 2013 -- The Ignition Project, an inaugural event designed to connect exceptional Atlanta area entrepreneurs with accomplished angel investors to ensure startup success, will be held October 8, 2013, at Atlanta Tech Village. The application process is currently underway for eligible early-stage businesses interested in presenting to attending investors.
The Ignition Project provides participating entrepreneurs with access not only to funding, but also to the expertise and experience of angel investors who have successfully built and sold businesses, and are willing to share their wisdom to help guide burgeoning companies on their path to success. Importantly, the project joins entrepreneurs and investors for the long-term – for the lifetime of the business, through early stage, growth and exit phases.
“The Ignition Project is based on our belief that success requires more than capital – it also requires mentorship in order for startups to reach their fullest potential,” said Jim Eckstein, Partner at The Angel Advisors, an Atlanta-based advisory group spearheading the project. “We’re finding and vetting promising entrepreneurs that we believe can best benefit from the unique synergies the project offers. Those selected to present will know they’re in the top percentile of startups in our area, and will have access to angels eager to invest both capital and knowledge.”
Atlanta continues to rise in popularity as a business center due to its low cost of living, its position as a major transportation hub, and its diverse talent pool. According to the Kauffman Index of Entrepreneurial Activity, the state of Georgia experienced the second largest increase in entrepreneurial activity over the last decade.
The Ignition Project is open to early-stage entrepreneurs across all industries that meet stated eligibility requirements. The deadline for applicants is September 15, 2013.
The project still has a limited number of slots available for interested investors. For more information, visit http://www.theignitionproject.com/.
