Atlanta, Georgia (PRWEB) August 29, 2013 -- AMERICAN HAIRCUTS® is preparing to grow from a local barbershop company into a national brand with a new franchise development program and will immediately begin selling franchises in the southeastern United States, with future plans to expand nationally. AMERICAN HAIRCUTS® has spent the past ten years refining the concept and has proven their business model. The concept is now ready for significant expansion. American Haircuts Franchising, Inc. offers a full-service franchising program which includes assistance with site selection, location development, staffing, and marketing.

Co-founder David Alexander, who spent nearly a decade as Vice President and Director of Operations for a national chain of men’s salons (and is a nationally known name in the men’s segment of the hair industry), saw a huge hole in the men’s grooming market. Mr. Alexander remarks, “When we set out to create a new concept in men’s hair, we literally thought of everything -- from a sports theme to an ultra high-end men’s salon. Nothing we researched felt right. One night, we broke open a bottle of great scotch and started reminiscing about going to the barbershop with our dads -- how the place smelled, the laughter, the real conversations. That’s what we did, we took the best elements of the traditional barbershop and combined it with some modern like big screen televisions, free wifi, and online appointments and created the type of environment embraces the classic American barbershop and takes it to a new level. The AMERICAN HAIRCUTS® concept appeals to a wide audience. At nearly $60 billion a year, the men’s grooming segment of the salon industry is booming. There are nearly 150 million men in the United States and they need haircuts. “The barbering business is nearly recession proof -- looking great is never just a trend and hair keeps growing. Combine that with the extensive experience of our management team, and we believe AMERICAN HAIRCUTS® to be a very enticing investment opportunity,” co-founder Scott Brown stated.
