"Villa Del Palmar at the Islands of Loreto is a spectacular beach resort and spa," said Steve Luben, MLT Vacations Director for Mexico, Caribbean and Latin America. "Featuring a mix of elegance, style, passionate service and hospitality, Villa del Palmar represents the very best Mexico has to offer, and we are thrilled to add another Villa Group property to our packages, which are available through Delta Vacations and Aeromexico Vacations."
Aeromexico recently added twice-weekly flights – on Thursdays and Sundays – between Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Loreto International Airport (LTO). Delta Airlines offers connecting service to LAX from destinations across the U.S.
"We are thrilled to have MLT Vacations expand here in Baja and at the Islands of Loreto," said Owen Perry, owner and president of Villa Group. "Villa del Palmar at the Islands of Loreto provides unique beauty, authentic culture, and access to truly unparalleled sporting opportunities. We look forward to sharing those experiences with MLT Vacations’ guests and showing them the true spirit of Baja."
Many recent visitors have mentioned their excitement over the resort’s expanded marine offerings, including the ability to private charter Villa del Palmar’s new sportfishing boat, Mad Dash. Guests can savor their catch by bringing it back to the resort to have renowned Executive Chef Roberto Cardazzo prepare it for that evening’s dinner. Cardazzo is also known to go diving for fresh clams to prepare one of the region’s signature dishes, "Chocolate Clams" (which refers to the color and not anything to do with the cocoa bean).
With more than 100 miles of coastline, 300 sunny days a year and year-round surface temperatures averaging in the 80s the Islands of Loreto is an unsung paradise that’s only a two-hour flight away from Los Angeles. The Islands of Loreto, located on the east coast of the Baja California Peninsula on the Sea of Cortez, is known for its quiet beaches, scenic vistas, rich history and astounding natural habitats. The region caters to adventurous travelers looking to explore many outdoor opportunities, including SCUBA diving, snorkeling, hiking, and mountain biking, as well as to travelers looking for a getaway that encompasses the beauty and authentic culture of the region without the commotion of heavily-trafficked Mexican destinations.
