GM Brands included in the program are Chevy, Buick, GMC, Pontiac and Saturn. However, before any vehicle becomes certified they must first undergo a 172 point Inspection and Reconditioning Process.
The GM program to certify pre-owned GM cars and trucks has specific criteria for vehicles to be eligible for the program. Vehicles must meet strict age, mileage and condition requirements to be candidates for entering the program. They currently must be at least 2008 or newer and have less than 75,000 miles. All candidate vehicles are road tested, examined on a lift to look at the underbody and vehicle frame. The vehicles are also checked for body cosmetic flaws as part of the 172 point inspection.
