Rick Otton Warns Mortgage Holders May Be Hit Hard by Inevitable Interest Rate Rises
(PRWEB) August 28, 2013 -- Real estate strategist and author of financial bestseller ‘How to Buy a House for a Dollar,’ Rick Otton, has joined in industry concerns that mortgage holders will be severely hit by future interest rate rises. Mr Otton says the smartest solution for home owners is for them to start learning non-conventional property investment strategies, which will enable them to be free of banking finance.
In a recent media report in the Sydney Morning Herald last 16 August 2013, global ratings agency Fitch said mortgage holders – particularly first-timers – could be caught out because interest rates were at a historic low. It said that once interest rates and unemployment levels rose in the future, home owners would struggle to service their mortgage repayments.
Mr Otton said while Fitch’s recommendation to test borrowers’ ability to service their property loans was commendable, it was more sustainable to opt out of traditional real estate investing methods altogether.
“One of the key ways to avoid mortgage stress is to start looking at innovative strategies such as generating growth and positive cash flow from your property from day one,” he said.
“What if you could buy a house for $1 – without a bank loan, a deposit, a mortgage, and without any previous real estate investing experience?”

Mr Otton is, this month, running a series of ultimate wealth summit one-day workshops around Australia to coach students on his unique ‘How to Buy a House for a Dollar’ strategies. His hugely popular events are open to anyone serious about making money through property – and with an open mind.
“During my action-packed hands-on events, participants will learn a range of easy-to-copy techniques, including the rent-to-own scheme, how to profit from a house that is worth more than its mortgage, and the A to Z of no-money-down schemes,” he said.
One of Mr Otton’s students, a former developer from New South Wales, said his life had changed as a result of using Rick Otton’s cutting edge techniques.
“I’ve been around real estate for a fair while as a developer. Rick has taught me a lot more about negotiating and how to fix problems. Now, I’m able to go out and fix other people’s problems, which has also created a great income for myself,” he said.
