Basingstoke, UK (PRWEB UK) 28 August 2013 -- New Marketplace OnBuy has incorporated products into individual ‘Outlets’ and is announcing the intention to boldly address the areas known to currently be Amazon’s terrain of market domination in their ‘DVDs, Video Games and Music’ Outlet in time for their public launch on November 1st.
OnBuy are confident this Outlet will house a majority of the products for sale and are in contact with some great media retailers already.
Marketplace sellers who focus on media products are aware that making large sales through other marketplace platforms may result in them being undercut, because in some cases other marketplaces actually compete with them by selling the same products as them, once healthy sales volumes have been established.
Cas Paton, Managing Director of OnBuy said:
"Amazon are a leading marketplace and retailer, and it's going to take some serious effort to steal some market share from them, but we're up for the challenge and in for the long-haul.
“We’ve predicted that the first sellers who join us under the DVD’s, Games and Music Outlet will make some of the highest sales [out of the sellers] especially during the launch and initial marketing campaign for Christmas.
This Outlet is a key area for our Marketing Department to promote. Sellers will get excellent marketing coverage with the Account Management subscription too – which is also free until we launch.”
OnBuy maintain their promise that they will not compete for sales against their sellers in any way, which could be seen as a benefit to sellers who intend to introduce new ranges to market.
"Our sellers can rest assured that we are not a retailer" said Paton, "We will never be a retailer that sells our own stock, we are a true independent marketplace".
The Marketing Team members at OnBuy state that they are already preparing promotional campaigns for this media Outlet, particularly focussing on Christmas 2013.
Vendors are invited to sign up for free until the website will launch to customers on November 1 2013, and OnBuy have announced that they have already secured over 500k of products in their launch database, aiming for 1million by November 1st.
Amazon have yet to comment on OnBuy.
