“Driver safety is paramount in today’s service and hectic world." - Stephen Conroy, Location Lock CEO.

Authorized Trimble Dealer Location Lock, LLC recently announced Work Order (WO) Management is compatible with Apple’s iOS platform. Known for providing Global Positioning Systems (GPS) tracking and locating solutions, Location Lock is always promoting cutting-edge technology. “Driver safety is paramount in today’s service and hectic world. Providing turn-by-turn directions, and having those directions given by voice prompts, allows the driver to focus on driving rather than glancing at his smart phone’s GPS for the next turn,” stated Stephen Conroy, Location Lock CEO and founding partner.

With this latest development, Trimble Field Service Management (FSM) and Location Lock continue to set the standard fleet managers require to ensure their drivers are where they need to be, and customers receive on-time deliveries with prompt service. With Google Maps as the default mapping engine, users can expect the “best in class” directions. Working within Trimble’s WO Management, the user selects the globe icon next to the task or job and then selects “Native Map.” Google Maps launches with turn-by-turn direction and voice prompts after the user selects the blue start icon within Google Maps. Conroy emphasized, “By combining WO Management’s voice prompted turn-by-turn navigation with Driver Safety, our customers not only realize significant cost savings in fuel consumption and operating costs, but they also receive increased fleet safety and improved driver behavior.”

Conroy recognized early in the manufacture selection process that Trimble could provide superior solutions for his company’s customers. Conroy stated, “Location Lock’s mission is to bring our customers peace of mind by securing their assets through the company’s GPS tracking technology. We always want what is best for the customer. If Location Lock does not have a solution in-house, we will go to the marketplace and find a viable technology for our customer to offer a comprehensive package.”
