Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame Unveils New Interactive iPad Kiosks Stations from Visionary Moments Secured with iPad Enclosures from ArmorActive
Nashville, TN (PRWEB) August 29, 2013 -- The Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame (TSHF) recently unveiled the latest additions to their 7,200 square-foot facility: new interactive iPad kiosk display stations by Visionary Moments using security enclosures from ArmorActive. Being rich with sports history and sport memorabilia, the TSHF’s Museum has long been a favorite of history and sports buffs alike as it honors those who have made an impact on Tennessee sports over the years. The new interactive display kiosks have already begun to further enrich the experience of the museum by allowing visitors to interact with the history of Tennessee sports.
The TSHF’s new kiosk display stations consist of beautifully crafted, custom designed, cherry wood iPad kiosks which house iPads that stream user-controlled multimedia content onto large LCD screens located directly above the kiosk stations. The interactive display stations feature picture slideshows, videos, digital magazines, music, and stories about the hall, its enshrined members, and the history of sports in Tennessee. To secure the iPad, Visionary Moments chose to use the Evolve Enclosure from ArmorActive, which is a full iPad security solution engineered to protect the iPad from theft and tampering within the kiosk at all times.
“The Evolve was the perfect solution for the TSHF project because it already fit perfectly within the design and security requirements of the project,” says Nick Ames, Project Manager at ArmorActive.
With more than 500 individuals honored and more than 500 sports artifacts displayed within the museum, the TSHF initially contacted Visionary Moments looking for a way to intuitively organize and display multimedia content relevant to the Hall of Fame, its athletes and its exhibits. The TSHF also requested the ability to easily update and control the content for multiple display stations from one central location. To fulfill these requests, Visionary Moments implemented their own iPad App called “Media Author”, which gives visitors the ability to navigate and browse the available multimedia options, as well as allowing the TSHF to manage and refresh the content remotely via the cloud.

Media Author’s remote capabilities, combined with how much it eases content management, enables the TSHF the ability to to deliver new and fresh content to the iPad kiosk display stations at anytime. This provides the TSHF with versatility to easily tailor the available content to specific events and tour groups. The Media Author app also provides many other features such as the incorporation of custom branding from corporate partners and sponsors right into the home page of the app as well as a convenient opportunity for user data collection, such as an email capture form, within the interface of the app itself. Media Author also allows for the option to drive traffic to websites or community related programs with admin control of which site’s users may visit from the iPad kiosk display stations directly.
