PA-NJ-DE MSDC to Host “The Blueprint" Procurement Conference and Trade Show Atlantic City
Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) August 29, 2013 -- The Pennsylvania-New Jersey-Delaware Minority Supplier Development Council (PA-NJ-DE MSDC) will host its 28th Annual Procurement Conference and Trade Show on October 2 and 3. This is the region’s benchmark forum on minority supplier development and will bring together Asian, Black, Hispanic and Native American business owners, corporate minority supplier development professionals, purchasing executives and corporate decision-makers who spend over $1 billion dollars in procurement contracts with diverse firms for two days at Caesars Casino Hotel in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
“The conference and trade show will have a positive impact on the community and expose our corporate members to outstanding minority suppliers from around the country,” said Wade Colclough, regional President and CEO.
The theme of this year’s conference is “The Blueprint,” focusing on business development, relationship management, building brand recognition, developing the perfect business pitch, and much more. High profile speaker, Judy Smith – the inspiration for the ABC hit series, Scandal and Founder and President of Smith & Company, a leading strategic and crisis communications firm, will present a keynote address sponsored by Ernst & Young LLP. Also, notable business leader and brand expert, Mary K. Dougherty, Founder & President of MKD & Associates and Owner of Nicole Miller Philadelphia, will also be a highlighted presenter at this two-day conference.
Pre-scheduled one-on-one matchmaking meetings will put minority business owners and corporate buyers face- to-face to explore procurement and relationship-building opportunities. A business trade show will feature over 55 corporate, government and minority business enterprise exhibitor booths.
Just as important, the PA-NJ-DE MSDC has teamed with the Honorable Lorenzo T. Langford, mayor of Atlantic City to place a call-to-action to regional businesses, firms, and conference attendees on behalf of the students of Atlantic City public school system. The PA-NJ-DE MSDC is encouraging support for the “Ready-to-Learn” School Supply Drive. Businesses and conference attendees are asked to donate bulk school supplies, make contributions to the drive, or bring backpacks – filled with school supplies – to the conference for distribution to the students on the final day of the conference.
