Houston, TX (PRWEB) August 30, 2013 -- LifeHouse is celebrating 25 years by 'Toasting To Life' with Former Governor Mike Huckabee as featured guest speaker Wednesday, October 2 at the Houston Omni Hotel.
Honorary-chairs Estela and David Cockrell, chairs Laurence and Henry Bragg, Mary Clark and Christopher Granberry, Paige and Houston Lane, Kathryn and Adam Roark, Allison and Spencer Stasney, Ashley and John Stevens, and Cecie and Kyle Turlington embrace one of Houston’s most vulnerable populations through LifeHouse, as it serves pregnant women as young as 12-years-old who are essentially homeless or in need of a safe living environment. Through the program, that continues even after their babies are born, young women learn basic life skills, receive prenatal care, continue their educations, participate in counseling, parenting classes, adoption education, career counseling and take steps towards a brighter future for themselves and their babies.
The ministry of LifeHouse fills a crucial role in Houston by providing the only maternity state licensed house for pregnant young women, whether they plan to parent or place their baby into an adoptive home, and has done so for 25 years.
The 25th anniversary celebration will begin with a VIP cocktail reception with Former Governor Huckabee for key underwriters, while other guests enjoy festive beverages awaiting a seated dinner and a unique program that showcases the past, present, and future of LifeHouse before Huckabee takes the stage.
Former Governor Mike Huckabee is the host of the number one rated weekend hit HUCKABEE on the Fox News Channel and Cumulus Networks’ syndicated radio program, The Huckabee Show, heard on more than 175 stations. He’s also heard three times daily across the nation on The Huckabee Report syndicated on almost 600 stations. He is the author of nine books, four of which have been on the New York Times Best Seller List. He is an avid musician and is bass player in his rock and roll band, Capitol Offense.
Rumor has it that Huckabee might even pick up the bass guitar and jam with an up and coming band The Watchtowers, made up of students from Episcopal and St. John’s High School. This is an event not to be missed.
Table sponsorships start at $2,500 and go to $50,000. General admission tickets are $350 each and available for purchase by going to LifeHouseHouston.org or calling 713-623-2120.
