"Dragon Moon" Wins First Place at The International Horror and Sci-Fi Film Festival
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) August 30, 2013 -- Two sci-fi screenplays from Hollywood screenwriter Joe Crouch have each won several awards from top screenplay contests. The screenplays "Dragon Moon" and "Genesis Prime" have received recognition for their creativity and originality in the sci-fi genre.
In addition to taking the top prize at the 2013 International Horror and Sci-Fi Film Festival, "Dragon Moon" was also a quarter finalist in the Story Pros contest.
"Genesis Prime" has been chosen as a finalist in the upcoming 2013 Shriekfest film festival, dubbed "L.A.'s Most Successful and Entertaining Horror Film Festival!"
Additionally, both screenplays have advanced to the semi-finals of the Creative World Awards writing contest. Winners in each category are to be announced Sept. 2nd. "Dragon Moon" is a contender in the Action Adventure category and "Genesis Prime" advanced in the horror/fantasy category.
Crouch's past writing accomplishments include the comedy film "Assisted Fishing" which he wrote, produced and directed.
The winning screenplays are available for interested producers.
Dragon Moon
On an alien planet, where an underprivileged race is threatened with genocide, an Enforcer of the law is framed for murder and sent to die on a dragon-infested prison moon. He must overcome the beasts and the barbaric prisoners of the moon and find a way back home in time to save his people.
Genesis Prime
A wormhole experiment goes wrong, sending a scientist and his teenage children back in time to a prehistoric Earth. In their attempts to find a way back, they face off against dinosaurs and nightmarish creatures that shouldn't exist in a prehistoric Earth.
