Some people will identify superficially with the image and others may dig a little deeper and identify with something else. That is ok with me. - Annamaria Pinna

Vajra reveals the controversial new design for their Fall 2013 line of merchandise on their Facebook page. The design incorporates sacred geometry and a host of mystical symbolism weaved together with what some would consider blatantly obscene gestures. Band founder, writer and vocalist, Annamaria Pinna states, “I’m not going to explain what the symbols mean individually and how they relate to each other as a whole. Each person may interpret the image as a whole in a completely different manner. And that is perfect. Generally, the symbols reflect medieval and currently relevant mystical concepts or ideas as well as some recognizable images that have a deep history and are also currently relevant. Some people will identify superficially with the image and others may dig a little deeper and identify with something else. That is ok with me.”
