Edgenuity Approved as a Georgia ELA Instructional Materials Provider
Scottsdale, AZ (PRWEB) August 29, 2013 -- Edgenuity, a leading provider of online and blended learning solutions, today announced that its curriculum has been reviewed by the Georgia State Board of Education and found to meet requirements to serve as an English Language Arts learning resource provider for grades 6-12.
“Edgenuity has met the high expectations required by the state of Georgia to serve as an instructional materials resource for English Language Arts in grades 6-12,” said Sari Factor, CEO of Edgenuity. “More powerful and versatile than a traditional textbook, our engaging, online, research-based curriculum for students is coupled with tools that provide teachers with rich data to closely monitor student progress. Together, they help drive improved student outcomes, preparing students for college and careers.”
Georgia’s rigorous approval process includes multiple stages of review, designed to ensure that core instructional materials are of the highest quality. Each summer, the State Textbook Advisory Committee convenes to evaluate titles submitted for consideration by publishers. A compilation of recommended titles is sent to the State Board of Education in the fall, and then a final list of approved providers is distributed by the State Board to Georgia school systems. This year, Edgenuity made the list as a recommended English Language Arts resource for grades 6-12.
