Baltimore Symphony Orchestra Presents The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses Second Quest, Nov. 21
Baltimore, Md. (PRWEB) August 30, 2013 -- The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses returns to the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall by popular demand with Second Quest on Thursday, November 21 at 8 p.m. The show boasts new visuals and music exploring additional chapters from the Zelda franchise as well as the beautifully orchestrated four-movement symphony recounting the classic storylines from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. Selling more copies than Avatar and Titanic combined, Zelda has been a fan-favorite since its inception in 1986. Over 62 million copies of the video game have been sold, and its popularity has spurred a book series, morning cartoons and even a breakfast cereal. The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses brings Nintendo composer and sound director Koji Kondo’s music to life as the first video game-themed concert to feature a four movement symphony.
The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses has already captured the attention of Zelda fans worldwide. Producing sold-out shows across the country, the music and visuals come together to create an enthralling performance encapsulating 25 years of original Zelda music.
Susie Benchasil Seiter, conductor
Susie Benchasil Seiter is a prolific conductor and orchestrator of film, television and video games. She hails from Baltimore, where her early interests in choir and piano gave roots to her now thriving career in the music industry. Susie received rigorous training at the University of Southern California’s prestigious Scoring for Motion Pictures and Television program.
Susie began her career assisting Hollywood composers and working at Disney’s department of music preparation. She is best known for orchestrating the wildly popular concert tour “The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses” which has been performed more than sixty times by some of the world’s most respected orchestras. Most recently, Susie worked alongside her husband Chad Seiter, conducting and orchestrating his music to one of history’s most popular franchises - STAR TREK: The Video Game. She followed that up with orchestration on another popular franchise and childhood favorite, SMURFS 2. Susie is currently orchestrating the next concert tour of Pirates of the Caribbean Live. She loves her job as a conductor and orchestrator because she feels it breathes life into the notes on a page. Susie takes pride in her contributions because she believes that orchestral music should be shared and celebrated by all generations.
