1.) SeptOberfest

What: Beer isn’t only for Germans, so get a mug and prost. Festival boasts German food, wine tasting, dancing and music, a silent auction, stein holding contest, and a free beer mug.
When: Thursday, September 26, 6 pm - 10 pm
Where:MontBleu Resort Casino

2.) Lake Tahoe Marathon

What: More than 30 events to participate in. Lace up those running shoes and participate in one of the many events. Even golf is thrown into this sporting event.
When: September 27 - 29
Where: All around the lake. The marathon starts in Tahoe City and ends on Pope Beach in South Lake Tahoe.

3.) Candy Dance Arts & Crafts Faire

What: Celebrating its 93rd year, this street fair brings over 300 vendors to sell everything from food to crafts.
When: September 28 - 29
Where: Genoa, Nevada

4.) Hiking
What: Enjoy the last hurrah before the cold comes knocking, and get outside and do some hiking in Lake Tahoe.
When: While the sun is still shining.
Where: With so many trails all around Lake Tahoe, visitors can find many amazing hiking trails.

5.) Fishing

What: Dust off those old fishing poles and cast a line into the lake. With the record breaking salmon caught just last month, the fish are calling and it’s time to answer.
When: Fishing on Lake Tahoe is open all year. Fishing on the Truckee River is open until November 15.
Where: Out on one of the amazing lakes.
