Magazine. With 10 full-time employees and 3-year revenue growth of 3,055%, Oceanhouse Media ranked as the 9th fastest growing software company and the 20th fastest growing California-based company on the list.

Today, their catalog of over 300 apps contains interactive digital book apps based on Dr. Seuss, The Berenstain Bears, Little Critter, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and many more. Eighteen of the company’s apps have reached the number one spot within their category on the App Store. “The Lorax - Dr. Seuss” reached the number one spot on the overall iPad top 100 paid chart in March 2012. The 2013 Inc. 500|5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing 2009 to 2012. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2009. They had to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies—as of December 31, 2012 and have at least $100,000 in net sales in the base year.
