Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) August 30, 2013 -- Shale Markets recently hosted a ‘Shale Seminar’ on the supply chain involved with shale gas development. Speakers included members of Shale Markets, LLC., PIOGA, Energy in Depth & CRM Excel Template, LLC.
The seminar brought out companies interested in learning more about the oil & gas supply chain and how to get their products & services into the industry. Some of the businesses in attendance included water hauling, insurance, inspections, transportation, and catering services.
Shale Markets uses these seminars to help businesses who are struggling to break into the industry and then works with them to get their information in front of the right people.
“The seminar provided a welcoming atmosphere where questions and discussions were encouraged by all participates. It was a great stepping stone for getting started in the industry. I would encourage people with existing business in the industry to attend. The relationships I gained from the seminar are priceless.” – Megan Cook MPR Supply Chain Services.
The seminar was broken down into several parts and covered everything from fracking 101 through safety services required by the industry. A large part of time was spent discussing the ISNetworld Safety Pre-Qualification, something a majority of gas & oil operators require just to do business.
Two companies present at the seminar have since decided to pursue their ISNetworld Pre-Qualifications through Shale Markets. First to pursue was Mustang Oil Services, a complete water hauling company servicing the Marcellus/Utica/Devonian footprint. The second was Shale Inspection Services, President, Connie Hale was eager to get her pre-qualification and become more marketable and able to work with the industry.
Dan Weaver of PIOGA discussed the technical processes behind shale gas development and where current development is taking place. Joe Massaro of Energy in Depth talked about the various opportunities for businesses within the shale gas supply chain. Dave Oshlag – Founder of W5 Templates, CRM Excel Template, LLC, spoke about CRM.
The next seminar is scheduled to be sometime in November. Visit http://www.ShaleMarkets.com and click on Seminars for more information.
