Organising an Industry Event is a Great Way to Boost a Personal Brand and Generate More Business, Find the Edge Founder Says
Manchester, UK (PRWEB UK) 30 August 2013 -- Successfully organising a fantastic seminar, conference or trade show can give entrepreneurs opportunities to mix with all the right people, and establish themselves as experts in their fields, Kenny Goodman has said in a new article.
The Find the Edge founder has used his Friday slot to describe the benefits individuals who invest time and energy into putting on an event can look forward to receiving.
He said: “You’re the boss, so you can choose the theme. Try and find an angle that isn’t being covered that you think people will be interested in.
“You’ll instantly be seen as THE expert in the minds of everyone who attends, and will be able to ensure every element of the event is tailored towards your audience.
“It may sound like a lot of work – and it will be – but that’s no reason not to do it. The results can be astounding. It’s also a great way to socialise with the movers and shakers in your niche.”
Goodman goes on to provide ten steps to guide anyone who is interested through the process. These cover what they should look for in a venue, how they can achieve sponsorship and how they can make the most of the event while it’s actually happening.
He also explains the need to research heavily before committing to putting on an event.
He said: “It’s important to research your idea before you make any firm commitments. At this stage, you can still get out if it’s a bad idea.
“Spend time making sure there’s an audience for what you’re doing, and that enough people will actually show up.
“Survey your potential audience about whether they’d be likely to come, and what kind of content they’d be looking for.”
