Vivalogue Publishing Appoints Social Media Managers to Support Self-Published Authors, Small Businesses and Not-for-Profits
Vancouver, BC (PRWEB) August 30, 2013 -- Vivalogue Publishing announces today that it has appointed Social Media Managers in both Canada and the UK. Each manager will design and execute promotional campaigns customized to meet the needs of each publishing, small business or not-for-profit client. Social media initiatives will complement Vivalogue’s current editorial, design, printing and website services.
Suzanne Lambert will support Vivalogue’s UK clients while Alana Pipe will concentrate on clients based in Canada and the United States. Suzanne graduated from the University of Edinburgh with an English Literature (Hons) Masters degree. Before joining Vivalogue to coordinate the UK social media campaigns, she worked as an environmental journalist then moved to the not-for-profit sector as the manager of a rehabilitation programme. Alana Pipe recently graduated from McGill University in Montreal, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in English and Political Science, with a focus on Cultural Studies. She brings to the company a strong writing background both in print and for the web.
The emphasis on social media is a natural progression for Vivalogue, which was founded in 2010 as a specialty publisher with a particular emphasis on personal history and fundraising. “A strong online presence is essential for self-published authors, most of whom have limited access to retail outlets,” said company founder Lynn Duncan.
Vivalogue’s editorial and branding expertise has also attracted non-profit and small business clients. “We currently offer books, brochures, websites, press releases and electronic newsletters to clients interested in raising their profile,” said co-founder Kilmeny Jane Denny. “Adding social media allows us to provide a full range of integrated communication services.”
