“We’re looking forward to working with a broad range of partners, from VARs and IT consultants to professional services firms to evolve their business models to capitalize on the multi-billion cloud market opportunity,” states Kevin Lambert, VP of Sales. “Quasar will make their cloud computing solutions available to more customers – particularly in the rapidly growing small to mid-market segments. We’ve heard from many customers who want to migrate to the cloud with the help of their IT solution providers in order to mitigate their hardware/software maintenance costs.”
One-third of current IT budgets are allocated to cloud computing solutions, and 63 percent of budgets for cloud-based services will increase over the next 12 months, according to a recent study by IDG Enterprise on cloud computing trends. On average, organizations will increase cloud computing spending by 16 percent.
In IDG’s 2013 Enterprise Cloud Computing Research, lower total cost of ownership (TCO) is a top selling point for the growth in cloud computing. Enabling business continuity and greater flexibility to react to changing market conditions are top drivers of investment in cloud computing technology according to the survey.
