Barnfield Shortlisted for Prestigious National Awards
(PRWEB UK) 4 September 2013 -- The Federation has reached the final three in the category of School Operator – Academy Chain in the Education Investor Awards 2013. And the achievement is even more impressive as organisers say it has been the most competitive year to date, with submissions up nearly 30% on 2012.
Barnfield are up against two other UK education providers - Academies Enterprise Trust (AET) and The Aldridge Foundation.
The winner will be announced at a black-tie dinner at the London Hilton Hotel, Park Lane in November.
The development of the Barnfield Federation’s core focus - to provide an excellent all-through education and training system which offers students the most choice and the best support to ensure success in the future - has been led by the vision and guidance of Founder and Director General Sir Peter Birkett.
Sir Peter established the academy sponsor Barnfield Education Partnership Trust (BEPT) and subsidiary company Barnfield Education Services to ensure value for money purchases and services across the Federation.
His exceptional leadership has secured Barnfield College’s highest ever results this year – an impressive 96%*, placing them in top position nationally. The Barnfield Academies are also anticipating another record-breaking year for GCSE results in August. (*Subject to EV, based on 2012 data.)
And the Federation continues to grow in a measured way. A further four academies will join the Barnfield family in 2013/14.

The Education Investor Awards 2013 take place on Thursday, 14th November, 2013, in London.
