SMC³ Announces Appointment of New CFO David Sexton, Retirement of SVP Joseph McClure
Atlanta, Ga. (PRWEB) September 02, 2013 -- SMC³ announced today that it has appointed David Sexton to the position of chief financial officer. “David brings expertise in accounting, budget management and long-term strategic analysis. He has also served in numerous accounting and finance positions at Delta Air Lines,” said Jack Middleton, SMC³ president and chief executive officer. “Over the coming years, our organization will rely on David’s expertise in financial reporting, budget management and interpreting financial information in support of the company’s long-term strategic decisions. In addition, David will serve as senior vice president of finance and administration and manage accounting, human resources and building services. We look forward to a long and fruitful relationship with him.” Sexton is a CPA and attended Georgia State University’s J. Mack Robinson College of Business.
Middleton also noted that in conjunction with Sexton’s appointment, Joe McClure—SMC³ senior vice president of finance and administration and the organization’s current chief financial officer—will retire effective September 30, 2013. “Joe has earned a solid foot-print at SMC³ over his 41-year career here. He will be missed very much,” Middleton said in conclusion.
