As women, we focus so much on other people and commitments outside ourselves. A day at the Women’s Expo is a day women can have for themselves
Cleveland, OH (PRWEB) September 05, 2013
The Marc’s Cleveland Women’s Expo is a sight to see. With thousands of attendees, it looks akin to a large festival. Despite this, the Women's Expo is no ordinary show. Guests enjoy free manicures, make-up application and hair styling by The Ohio Academy, Paul Mitchell Partner School. Shopping, cooking demonstrations and wellness features both entertain and educate attendees to create the lifestyle they want to live every day. As if this wasn't enough, hourly raffle prizes keep you on the edge of your shopping bag. Included, are two grand prizes that everyone wants to know about: over $500 worth of jewelry from lia sophia®, and two round-trip airline tickets to Cancun, courtesy of Big Sky Travel. “We want women to come to the Women’s Expo for a day that centers exclusively on them,” explains Renee Anderson, the organizer responsible for the event. It seems she's done exactly that with the event.
The Women's Expo has also taken lengths to make sure that they still keep others in the picture. With thousands raised for charity from raffles and a portion of the expo's proceeds benefitting the local branch of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure Foundation (Northeast Ohio), the attitude of benefitting the community is a big part of the event. From women's self-defense demonstrations, to a seminar on women's finances, to the Curve Appeal Boutique fashion show the Marc's Women's Expo focuses on helping women live the life they deserve. After covering all these bases ˗ the free food, wine, product samples and spa treatments give people something to take home for themselves. “As women, we focus so much on other people and commitments outside ourselves. A day at the Women’s Expo is a day women can have for themselves,” says Anderson.
It appears to be working. Mark Nolan from Majic 105.7 has weighed in to show attendees some of his favorite recipes. LeeAnn Sommers from WGAR 99.5 will MC the fashion show, which caters to women in all their beauty. Local businesses like Olive My Heart will be sharing their expertise on how to keep a kitchen full of TLC. Vendors like BJ's Wholesale club, Avon and Cutco Cutlery are coming to show their support for the Cleveland community, their causes and to reach the thousands of the women who make it strong. The 2013 Marc’s Cleveland Women’s Expo is coming to La Villa Conference and Banquet Center, September 21st and 22nd, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.
