August 2013 new listings recorded a year-over-year improvement of 7.4 percent. While seller’s market conditions persist and total inventory levels keep falling, single-family sales totaled 1,517 units in August, a 30 percent increase over the previous year. Despite strong sales in the past couple of months, year-to-date sales activity has grown by 5.4 percent, slightly stronger than anticipated according to the Calgary Real Estate Board. If a home is priced fairly and in good condition, it should sell quickly. The inventory continues to be low and still seeing an increase in sales year over year
