McKissock Strengthens Continuing Education Curriculum with Addition of Online and Correspondence Courses for Architecture
Warren, PA (PRWEB) September 12, 2013 -- Building on its twenty-year foundation in CE, McKissock is proud to introduce a curriculum of architect continuing education in California, Colorado, Texas and Ohio. Courses will be available online and in correspondence book format, with the first books scheduled for distribution to Colorado architects by the end of September.
The courses in the correspondence book are designed to fulfill professional development credits for health, safety, welfare and sustainable design topics for professional architects, and will contain all the LU/HSW hours necessary to renew state and AIA architecture licenses.
“As a leader in continuing education, McKissock is the first AIA CES Provider to offer an all-in-one package that will satisfy both state and AIA requirements,” Product Manager for Appraisal and Green Energy Anna Duong said. “By combining their LU/HSW requirements in one book, we hope to give our students the best possible deal on their architect CE.”
With topics of study ranging from flood zone construction safety and deterioration and distress of concrete to next generation performance-based seismic design, these correspondence books will supplement McKissock’s online course offerings for architecture. "These courses give architects a whole new understanding of the importance of natural disasters and energy in design," course author and architectural education consultant Janet Mellema said.
Distribution for correspondence books in California, Ohio and Texas is scheduled to begin in mid-October.
