The article, Biggest-ever expat opinion poll launched, published 12th August in The Telegraph reveals hopes that as many as 10,000 expats around the world will take part in the survey which will ask respondents questions such as what they miss most from home and whether their move has fulfilled their expectations. Participants will also be prompted to give details of real life experiences as well as share advice for those contemplating moving. The closing date for the online survey, which will automatically place entrants into a prize draw to win £1,000, is December 31st.
The team at Interdean are approached by numerous customers every day, planning a new life overseas. As well as fast and efficient shipping, storage and packing, the firm specialises in helping expats settle into their new destination, offering free visa assistance and money transfer services. A representative from the company explains how the poll could help future expats.
“Moving countries is probably one of the biggest changes a person will go through in their lifetime and it requires a great deal of planning and research. First-hand accounts of what it is like to live in a certain country therefore are invaluable. People reading this survey for example, could find useful information about Education in Singapore, or job opportunities in New Zealand from someone who has already had this experience. We’re looking forward to seeing what this poll reveals. We’d also encourage current expats to share their thoughts and advice.”
