Web Design company helps give Birmingham students the edge
Birmingham, United Kingdom (PRWEB UK) 6 September 2013 -- Opace were contributing to a two week series of workshops and short courses facilitated by Bournville College called ‘Get the Edge’. The focus was on all aspects of the workplace – from Health and Safety to Setting Up Your Own Business. Just 15 lucky candidates were chosen for the intensive fortnight, which took place between 14th-22nd August.
Opace were asked to contribute a workshop on ‘Social Media for Business’ – designed to give the candidates an insight into the growing importance of social media as part of a modern marketing mix.
Brett Sidaway, Opace’s social media manager, presented the course and he was delighted that the company had been chosen to share their expertise. Brett said “We were pleased to make a positive contribution to this exciting initiative, and hope we have made a real difference to those who attended – giving them an insight that they can use in their first job or Apprenticeship.”
Mike Farrant, Business Development Manager at Bournville College said “We were delighted that Opace agreed to take part in the ‘Get the Edge’ programme as they are really enthusiastic trainers as well as acknowledged experts in their field.”
