Montgomery Place Renames Program to Offer Innovative Options for Mature Adults
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) September 04, 2013 -- Montgomery Place has expanded its home care services to offer innovative solutions for mature adults who choose to live in their homes and communities as they age. Formerly known as Hyde Park Home Care Services, the newly expanded program has been renamed LifeCare@HOME.
In 2008, Montgomery Place established Hyde Park Home Care Services, a not-for-profit program that offered home care services to independent living residents at Montgomery Place as well as to clients in Cook, DuPage, Will and Lake counties. As the program developed, Montgomery Place recognized that several factors were creating an increased need for innovative solutions in home-based services. The changing landscape in health care delivery, the aging Baby Boomer generation and the slower real estate market mean more and more people are aging in place at home—whether through choice or necessity.
LifeCare@HOME seeks to help reduce the medical and environmental risk factors faced by older adults living at home. Services range from a free initial home safety assessment to home modifications and the provision of 24-hour at-home assistance with the activities of daily living. There are also many levels in between.
