The Elder Concert Coming to Boca Raton September 21, 2013
Miami, FL (PRWEB) September 08, 2013 -- The Academy of Florida Elder Law Attorneys will be presenting The Elder Concert in Boca Raton on September 21, 2013, and in Tampa on October 11, 2013.
The event brings together professionals from various disciplines who serve the elder population. Those professionals include elder law attorneys, financial planners, geriatric care managers, assisted living facility administrators, health care providers, managed care organizations, nursing home administrators, social workers, guardians, insurance providers, and accountants.
Workshops include diverse subjects such as “Elder Abuse” and “The Health Care Decision Tree” to “Medicaid and Managed Care” and “The Affordable Care Act.” There will also be a keynote luncheon speaker to be announced.
Leonard E. Mondschein, Board Certified Elder Law Attorney and Past Chair of The Elder Law Section of The Florida Bar from Miami, will speak on “The Impact of the Unlicensed Practice of Law on Medicaid Planning.” His presentation will explore the potential harm to the public of hiring a non-attorney to qualify an individual for Medicaid. Lack of training, no insurance, and the absence of a law degree or license are just some of the problems encountered by the public, when hiring a non-attorney to do legal work.
