Cooksongold Celebrates 10,000th Facebook Fan with Jewellery Making Supplies Giveaway
(PRWEB UK) 2 September 2013 -- Cooksongold is celebrating after receiving its 10,000th like on Facebook, with a series of giveaways and competitions.
The jewellery making supplier has seen considerable success with the social media site recently. Since this time last year, its Facebook page has seen an almost 50% rise in likes.
In the past eight months alone, the page has received nearly 2,000 likes, having started the year with just over 8,000 fans.
To celebrate reaching the goal, Cooksongold will be treating fans to giveaways and competitions.
Prizes and activities include:
• A jewellery hamper worth more than £100
• Ten metres of 1,000mm sterling silver wire
• 10s of prizes to be given away for a limited time
Cooksongold’s commercial manager, Adam Hunter, said: “We’re absolutely ecstatic to see our Facebook page receive its 10,000th fan. To see 2,000 fans like our page in just eight months is incredible. And we feel it’s only right to celebrate it with those who’ve helped us get to this goal.
“So to say ‘thank you’, we’re planning a giveaway of quirky prizes, as well as fun activities and competitions.”
In the jewellery making supplier’s March 2013 customer survey, Cooksongold customers rated its Facebook page eight out of ten.
Since its previous survey in September 2012, when the page was scored six out of ten, Cooksongold has introduced new features like ‘Design of the week’, live chats with the firm’s professional jewellery designers, and Facebook-specific freepost events.
“Our customers told us what they wanted from our Facebook page, and we’ve listened. We’ve ramped up our engagement with fans and brought in lots of new features,” said Adam Hunter.
“The results speak for themselves. We’ve received thousands of likes, loads of positive feedback, and our success on Facebook has helped boost our following on Pinterest, Twitter and Google+.
“But whilst we’re all busy celebrating, we’re already looking ahead to see what we could do to improve the experience even further.”
Customers can keep up to date with Cooksongold’s latest special offers and jewellery making materials giveaways on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Google+, or by signing up for its Cooksongold and Beadmail newsletters.
