Hamilton Pacific Chamberlain Awarded HVAC Project for Baltimore VA Medical Center
(PRWEB) September 01, 2013 -- Hamilton Pacific Chamberlain “HPC”, a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, is proud to announce the Department of Veterans Affairs contract award for the 7th floor HVAC improvements at the VA Medical Center located at 10 N. Green Street in Baltimore, Maryland.
As a modern health care facility, The Baltimore VA Medical Center offers Veterans state-of-the-art technology and clinical services. The medical center is home to the world’s first film less radiology department, which allows health care providers to have nearly instant access to patient radiology images.
The Baltimore VA Medical Center is the acute medical and surgical care facility for the VA Maryland Health Care System and offers a full range of inpatient, outpatient and primary care services. As a surgical specialty care facility, the medical center serves as the neurosurgery referral center for the VA Capitol Health Care Network.
Having one of the largest funded research and development programs in the VA system, this project enhances the medical center’s ability to provide state-of-the-art medical techniques and treatments to Maryland’s Veterans.
The Baltimore Veterans Affairs has had a need to make improvements to the existing 7th floor HVAC system. The project will include: installation of new duct work, intake louvers, vent piping, exhaust fan, diffusers, motorized dampers, fan coil units, condensate units, diffusers, condensate piping, thermostats and insulation. This project falls under the Green Environmental Management System (GEMS).
HPC is proud to be given this opportunity by The Department of Veterans Affairs and provide a contribution to updating the VA Medical Center infrastructure and servicing our Veteran’s needs. HPC is expected to complete the improvements by April 2014.
