We are excited by the trends reflected in this year’s study. Cores are becoming more efficient in working to address significant customer growth.

Boston, MA (PRWEB) September 03, 2013

iLab Solutions announced today the results of its 3rd Annual Core Facility Benchmarking Study. This study is based on a survey of individuals who directly manage cores, service centers, shared facilities, and recharge centers at hospitals, universities, and independent research institutions. They represent more than 40 different core types from over 60 institutions from North America, Europe and the Asia Pacific region. The goals of the study are to provide an understanding of core facility management operations practices, trends in core growth and utilization, and the biggest challenges Core Managers face today.

The responses to this study reveal a number of strong patterns in core operations. Cores are bringing in more business and are becoming more efficient. While the number of customers is rising, customer revenue, time spent on serving customers, and the adoption of advanced tools to meet customer needs is on the rise as well.

“We are excited by the trends reflected in this year’s study. Cores are becoming more efficient in working to address significant customer growth,” said Heather Lorenz, iLab’s VP of Business Development. “We hope the results of this survey facilitate conversation and empower cores to take positive action for the health and betterment of the research core facility community."
