New key results are available from National Research into internal mediation services in the UK.
The results show the benefits when employing a mediation co-ordinator compared to not having one in an organisation. The results go on to show a service co-ordinator will adjust a company mediation pool according to demand and ensure the best return on investment.
CMP Resolutions Managing Director Katherine Graham says "These results provide answers to some of the questions that we get asked on a day to day basis and offer valuable information to any HR department".
The report also shows 80% of organisations operating at a cost per mediation lower than buying in a mediator had a 5000+ fte headcount.
While the benefits of mediation are often clear to HR, the business case still needs to be made. CMP Resolutions suggest using the Conflict Profile after viewing the survey to identify business conflict costs, and benchmark this against the national average for an organisation based on size and sector.
