Fido's Festival USA Unites Dogs & Dog Lovers for a Weekend of Family Fun
Woodstown, NJ (PRWEB) September 03, 2013 -- Fido’s Festival USA®, a national dog festival that celebrates the joy and privilege of owning a lovable family dog, is gearing up for a ‘fairyTailed’ weekend of fun September 7 - 8 at the Salem County Fairgrounds in Woodstown, NJ. The annual weekend-long extravaganza welcomes dogs of all shapes and sizes and features a variety of activities, celebrity canine performances, and special guests for dogs and their human companions.
"This festival is simply about spending time with your dog," said Kathleen DeLuca, event organizer and owner, Fido’s Festival USA. "Sometimes we get so wrapped up in our own lives that we forget to take time and appreciate how special our dogs are to us. I encourage every dog owner and dog lover to come to Fido’s Festival USA—it truly is where every dog has its day."
The two-day event includes performances by renowned Ultimate Air Dogs™ dock diving dogs and Disc-Connected K9’s World Famous Frisbee Dogs. The National Canine Cancer Foundation will sponsor a 'Lure for a Cure' event, where dogs can participate in a high-performance lure course to raise money to fight canine cancer. Local animal rescues and shelters will be on-hand offering adoptions while expert guests discuss topics ranging from homeopathic care and canine body language to dog safety and K-9 training.
The festival’s 2013 theme, ‘Once Upon a Canine,’ is set upon 64 acres of land that will be transformed into a magical dog kingdom. Dogs and their owners are invited to do as much—or as little—as they like. Among the many activities include a storybook-themed canine parade, training games, an agility course, costume and talent contests, and much more.
