Designer Shalom Baranes Associates, project developers, community members, and over 180 construction workers celebrated a milestone in the construction of the Hilton Garden Inn on M Street on Wednesday, July 10, 2013. The crowd gathered to celebrate the successful topping out of the project. The topping out commemorates a successful and safe completion the building’s structure, a major portion of the project.

This celebration recognized the construction workers and team members who have worked diligently for 11 months since the project’s commencement on August 28th 2012.

PerStar OTO Partners commented that they are “excited about the progress to date. The entire team is focused on delivering a fantastic new hotel to the west end community, and the progress is impressive."

The new Hilton Garden Inn West End is located in Washington, DC’s West End neighborhood and will be a 238 room, LEED® Silver, upscale hotel. Construction of the building has required underpinning of the adjacent facilities. The building is poured in place, post tension concrete construction, typical of the Washington, DC market.
