Mendoza, Argentina (PRWEB) September 05, 2013 -- Belatrix Software, the leading global Nearshore Agile Software Innovation firm released news on Hackatrix, a series of Hackathons, the first of which will take place on Saturday, September 7 at the firm’s downtown offices in Mendoza. Hackatrix is open to smart, energetic developers from across Argentina. Developers are challenged to join Belatrix for a live coding event.
The Hackatrix initiative is part of an ambitious and wider community development program, which aims to inspire next generation software innovators. The events often include internationally recognized experts. Most of Belatrix training programs are free and open to anyone interested in software, even employees from competitor companies. Belatrix’s philosophy is that a rising tide floats all boats. Growing highly sought after regional innovation skills attracts global businesses to Argentina’s Nearshore software services such as those offered by Belatrix.
People have already begun to post project ideas on http://hackatrix.belatrixsf.com. Participants will select the one on which they would like to work with. During Hackatrix, teams will work using Agile methodologies to develop the idea into fully functional software.
Projects will be judged by a panel conformed by experts from Belatrix and others local companies. The prizes include a variety of courses, products of Belatrix, a Samsung Tablet and a Scrum Master Certification Course, valued in US$ 800.
“We’re blown away by the impact the event has had already,” said Luis Robbio, CEO & Co-Founder of Belatrix Software. “We’ve already had a phenomenal number of signups and everyone had shared great project ideas. The best possible result is to bring together this immensely talented group of developers, and then see their projects come to life.”
