Tenth Avenue North Hosts Successful Celebrity Golf Tournament and Donates Proceeds to Compassion International
Colorado Springs, CO (PRWEB) September 03, 2013 -- Compassion International music artist and ambassador, Tenth Avenue North, donated more than $100,000 in proceeds from their first celebrity golf tournament to various Christ-centered ministries that promote the Gospel, including Compassion International.
“The guys in Tenth Avenue North never cease to amaze us in the ways they give to children living in poverty,” said Mark Hanlon, senior vice president of Compassion, USA. “Compassion is proud to call them family. The money they raised on Compassion's behalf will go a long way toward helping the children we serve."
The “Tenth Avenue North Classic” was co-hosted by PGA Tour professional, Kevin Streelman, at Brier Creek Country Club in Raleigh, N.C. on Aug. 12. The event brought together featured players such as six-time PGA Tour winner Stewart Cink, two-time PGA Tour winner Scott Stallings, two-time Super Bowl champion Antwan Harris, and NASCAR drivers Blake Koch and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. Also participating was five-time GRAMMY Award winner tobyMac as well as members from NeedtoBreathe and Stellar Kart

The band has partnered with Compassion International since 2008 and plans to host the celebrity golf tournament again next year.
