Webinar Will Teach Food Manufacturers How to Reduce Fire Risks
Valley Forge, PA (PRWEB) September 05, 2013 -- The food industry is decidedly high tech, yet many food processors put their people and facilities at risk of fire by using old-fashioned mineral oil-based fluids in their hydraulic equipment. Obviously, it’s not done intentionally. Most food plant supervisors and operations managers simply don’t know all of the choices that are available to them.
In a free webinar, a hydraulic fluid expert from Houghton International will explain the benefits and applications for the many types of fire-resistant (FR) hydraulic fluids available to food manufacturers. The webinar will cover water-based and anhydrous FR hydraulic fluids, including water glycols and vegetable oil-based fluids. Both types are approved for incidental food contact. The presenter will explain the differences between these products, as well as the advantages of each in specific food applications and equipment.
Houghton has been producing fire-resistant hydraulic fluids since the 1950s and today is the world’s largest supplier.
