Claromentis Announces its Next-Generation Intranet Scholarship Scheme

Intranet software provider Claromentis has announced its first annual Next-Generation Intranet Scholarship Scheme, available to undergraduates studying any discipline – located anywhere in the world. The Claromentis Scholarship Scheme will offer undergraduates the opportunity to shape the next-generation of intranet software whilst helping to part-fund their studies.

The Claromentis Scholarship Scheme encourages creative thinking and requires students to define the next-generation intranet software. Students can choose to take social functionality a step further, decide upon a third-party software mash-up, contribute a new product idea, or implement some user-interface enhancements – the student ultimately decides. The one overriding condition is that the idea or suggestion must be customer-focused and created with the intention of making a positive difference to end-users.

Claromentis has developed this scholarship due to on-going advancements in social and mobile technology. These technological advancements are encouraging organisations to re-evaluate their intranets to meet employees’ changing expectations. For the last decade, Claromentis has worked with organisations to provide multi-generational intranet software with business, collaborative and social applications. Its mission, to provide productivity-enhancing intranets to organisations of all sizes and sectors, has resulted in the recent development of a Social Project Management application and Learning Management System.

Further information including the scholarship brief, can be accessed directly from Claromentis’ website (http://www.claromentis.com/scholarship/). The application form can be submitted via the scholarship(at)claromentis(dot)com email address. The scholarships are worth £500/$750 and the closing date is November 24, 2013.

Claromentis Co-Founder and Information Architect, Michael Christian comments: “The scholarship is designed to offer the next generation of employees a platform to voice their preferences and expectations concerning intranet functionality. We’ve worked closely with organisations over the last decade to re-establish their employees’ experiences due to emerging technology and we look forward to continuing this.”
